The HSP27 (HSPB1) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21461) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the heat shock protein 27 (HSP27), a chaperone protein involved in cellular stress response and protection. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the HSP27 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an essential asset for investigations in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, and neurology.
HSP27, also known as heat shock protein beta-1, plays a critical role in protecting cells from stress-induced damage, promoting cell survival, and regulating key cellular processes. Its involvement in a variety of biological pathways makes it a key player in the pathogenesis of diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. By understanding the function and regulation of HSP27, researchers can uncover novel therapeutic targets and strategies for treating these challenging conditions.

This gene encodes a member of the small heat shock protein (HSP20) family of proteins. In response to environmental stress, the encoded protein translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and functions as a molecular chaperone that promotes the correct folding of other proteins. This protein plays an important role in the differentiation of a wide variety of cell types. Expression of this gene is correlated with poor clinical outcome in multiple human cancers, and the encoded protein may promote cancer cell proliferation and metastasis, while protecting cancer cells from apoptosis. Mutations in this gene have been identified in human patients with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and distal hereditary motor neuropathy.
