The HOXD9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16879) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the HOXD9 gene, a member of the homeobox gene family that plays a crucial role in embryonic development and cell differentiation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity for detecting HOXD9 in human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.HOXD9 is known to be involved in regulating the development of various tissues and organs, including the skeleton, nervous system, and reproductive system. Its aberrant expression has been linked to several diseases, including certain types of cancer and developmental disorders. The HOXD9 Polyclonal Antibody allows for the detection and analysis of HOXD9 protein levels in different cell types, making it an essential tool for research in developmental biology, oncology, and regenerative medicine.
By studying the role of HOXD9 in normal development and disease processes, researchers can gain valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers for various conditions. The HOXD9 Polyclonal Antibody facilitates these investigations by providing a reliable and sensitive method for detecting and quantifying HOXD9 protein expression, ultimately advancing our understanding of the genetic mechanisms governing cellular differentiation and tissue morphogenesis.

This gene belongs to the homeobox family of genes. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, located on different chromosomes, consisting of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. This gene is one of several homeobox HOXD genes located at 2q31-2q37 chromosome regions. Deletions that removed the entire HOXD gene cluster or 5' end of this cluster have been associated with severe limb and genital abnormalities. The exact role of this gene has not been determined.
