The HOXC4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13856) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the HOXC4 protein, a member of the HOX family of transcription factors that play a crucial role in development and differentiation processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting human HOXC4 in various research applications, including Western blotting.HOXC4 is known to regulate gene expression and cell differentiation in multiple tissues, making it a key player in embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation of HOXC4 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, where it can act as an oncogene or tumor suppressor depending on the context.
Therefore, understanding the function and expression of HOXC4 is essential for unraveling its role in disease pathogenesis and potentially identifying new therapeutic targets.Researchers in the fields of developmental biology, cancer biology, and regenerative medicine will find the HOXC4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13856) to be a valuable asset in their studies, enabling accurate and reliable detection of HOXC4 protein levels and localization in different cell types and tissues. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal tool for investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying HOXC4 function and its implications in various pathological conditions.

This gene belongs to the homeobox family of genes. The homeobox genes encode a highly conserved family of transcription factors that play an important role in morphogenesis in all multicellular organisms. Mammals possess four similar homeobox gene clusters, HOXA, HOXB, HOXC and HOXD, which are located on different chromosomes and consist of 9 to 11 genes arranged in tandem. This gene, HOXC4, is one of several homeobox HOXC genes located in a cluster on chromosome 12. Three genes, HOXC5, HOXC4 and HOXC6, share a 5' non-coding exon. Transcripts may include the shared exon spliced to the gene-specific exons, or they may include only the gene-specific exons. Two alternatively spliced variants that encode the same protein have been described for HOXC4. Transcript variant one includes the shared exon, and transcript variant two includes only gene-specific exons.
