The HNRNP C1/C2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB8958) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying HNRNP C1 and C2, two proteins involved in RNA processing and gene expression regulation. This antibody, specifically designed for use in human samples, is highly sensitive and specific, making it ideal for applications such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.HNRNP C1 and C2 are RNA-binding proteins with diverse functions in cellular processes, including pre-mRNA splicing, mRNA transport, and translation regulation. Dysregulation of these proteins has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making them attractive targets for therapeutic interventions.
By using the HNRNP C1/C2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can accurately detect and quantify these important proteins in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into their biological roles and potential as therapeutic targets. This antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the complex mechanisms underlying gene expression regulation and could pave the way for new treatments for diseases associated with HNRNP C1 and C2 dysregulation.

This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene can act as a tetramer and is involved in the assembly of 40S hnRNP particles. Multiple transcript variants encoding at least two different isoforms have been described for this gene.
