The HLA-E Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8429) is an essential tool for researchers studying the HLA-E protein, a critical player in immune response regulation. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the HLA-E protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an invaluable asset for studies in immunology and cancer research.HLA-E, a member of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) family, plays a key role in the immune system by presenting antigens to natural killer (NK) cells.
Its function in immune surveillance and regulation makes it a promising target for research on diseases such as cancer, viral infections, and autoimmunity. Understanding the role of HLA-E in immune response modulation is crucial for developing targeted therapies aimed at manipulating the immune system to combat these conditions effectively.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human HLA-E (NP_005507.3).
HLA-E belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain is anchored in the membrane. HLA-E binds a restricted subset of peptides derived from the leader peptides of other class I molecules. The heavy chain is approximately 45 kDa and its gene contains 8 exons. Exon one encodes the leader peptide, exons 2 and 3 encode the alpha1 and alpha2 domains, which both bind the peptide, exon 4 encodes the alpha3 domain, exon 5 encodes the transmembrane region, and exons 6 and 7 encode the cytoplasmic tail.
