The Histone H2B Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18305) is a valuable tool for researchers studying histone proteins and epigenetic regulation. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is specifically designed to detect Histone H2B, a key component of nucleosomes involved in chromatin structure and gene expression.Histone H2B is essential for packaging DNA into chromatin and plays a role in transcriptional regulation. The CAB18305 antibody has been validated for use in Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of Histone H2B levels in various cell types and tissues.
Research on histone proteins like Histone H2B is important for understanding how epigenetic modifications influence gene expression and cellular function. Dysregulation of histone proteins has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders.By using the Histone H2B Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of histones in chromatin organization and gene regulation, advancing our understanding of epigenetic mechanisms in health and disease.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H2B family, and generates two transcripts through the use of the conserved stem-loop termination motif, and the polyA addition motif. The protein has antibacterial and antifungal antimicrobial activity.
