The Histone H2AX Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2082) is a valuable tool for researchers studying histone H2AX, a variant of histone H2A that plays a key role in the DNA damage response. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blotting applications. By targeting histone H2AX, the antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this important histone variant in a variety of cell types.Histone H2AX is a crucial player in maintaining genomic stability and regulating DNA repair processes in response to DNA damage.
Research on histone H2AX is particularly relevant in the fields of cancer biology, genomics, and epigenetics, as dysregulation of DNA repair mechanisms can contribute to the development and progression of cancer. By utilizing the Histone H2AX Polyclonal Antibody, scientists can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of histone H2AX, ultimately advancing our understanding of DNA damage response pathways and their implications for human health.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene encodes a replication-independent histone that is a member of the histone H2A family, and generates two transcripts through the use of the conserved stem-loop termination motif, and the polyA addition motif.
