The Anti-Histone H2B Antibody (CAB19812) is a valuable tool for researchers studying histone proteins and epigenetics. Histone H2B is a key component of chromatin structure and is involved in gene regulation and DNA packaging. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, specifically targets the Histone H2B protein in human samples and is validated for use in various applications such as Western blotting.Histone proteins play a crucial role in regulating gene expression and chromatin organization, making them important targets for research in cancer, development, and epigenetics.
The Anti-Histone H2B Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to study the function and localization of Histone H2B in different cell types and experimental conditions.By using this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the role of Histone H2B in chromatin dynamics, DNA repair, and transcriptional regulation. With its high reactivity and specificity, the Anti-Histone H2B Antibody is an essential reagent for studies aimed at understanding the complex mechanisms of gene regulation and epigenetic modifications.

Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene encodes a replication-dependent histone that is a member of the histone H2B family. The protein encoded is an antimicrobial protein with antibacterial and antifungal activity. Two transcripts that encode the same protein have been identified for this gene, which is found in the histone microcluster on chromosome 6p21.33.
