The HGF Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1193) is a valuable tool for research involving Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF), a key protein involved in cell growth, survival, and migration. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to HGF and has been validated for use in various experimental applications, including Western blotting.HGF is a potent mitogen that plays a crucial role in tissue regeneration and repair, making it a promising target for studying diseases such as cancer, fibrosis, and ischemic injuries. By detecting and analyzing HGF protein levels in cell samples, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.
With its high reactivity and specificity, the HGF Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, oncology, and regenerative medicine. By enabling precise detection and analysis of HGF protein expression, this antibody can advance our understanding of HGF's role in normal physiology and disease pathogenesis, ultimately leading to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

This gene encodes a protein that binds to the hepatocyte growth factor receptor to regulate cell growth, cell motility and morphogenesis in numerous cell and tissue types. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta chains, which form the mature heterodimer. This protein is secreted by mesenchymal cells and acts as a multi-functional cytokine on cells of mainly epithelial origin. This protein also plays a role in angiogenesis, tumorogenesis, and tissue regeneration. Although the encoded protein is a member of the peptidase S1 family of serine proteases, it lacks peptidase activity. Mutations in this gene are associated with nonsyndromic hearing loss.
