The HDGF Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13654) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the hepatoma-derived growth factor (HDGF), a protein involved in various cellular processes including cell growth, proliferation, and migration. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the HDGF protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of HDGF expression in a variety of cell types.
HDGF is known to play a role in the development and progression of various cancers, making it a promising target for cancer research. Additionally, HDGF has been implicated in tissue repair and regeneration after injury, suggesting its potential importance in regenerative medicine. By understanding the function and regulation of HDGF, researchers can uncover new insights into cancer biology and potential therapeutic strategies for treating cancer and promoting tissue regeneration.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-240 of human HDGF (NP_004485.1).
This gene encodes a member of the hepatoma-derived growth factor family. The encoded protein has mitogenic and DNA-binding activity and may play a role in cellular proliferation and differentiation. High levels of expression of this gene enhance the growth of many tumors. This gene was thought initially to be located on chromosome X; however, that location has been determined to correspond to a related pseudogene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
