The HDAC9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1516) is a valuable tool for researchers studying HDAC9, a histone deacetylase involved in regulating gene expression and chromatin remodeling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the HDAC9 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in epigenetics, cancer research, and neurobiology.HDAC9, a member of the histone deacetylase family, plays a crucial role in gene regulation by removing acetyl groups from histone proteins, leading to chromatin condensation and gene silencing.
Dysregulation of HDAC9 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular conditions. Therefore, understanding the function and expression of HDAC9 is essential for developing targeted therapies and interventions to combat these ailments.Overall, the HDAC9 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1516) offers researchers a reliable tool for investigating the role of HDAC9 in health and disease, shedding light on the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and paving the way for novel therapeutic approaches.

Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. The protein encoded by this gene has sequence homology to members of the histone deacetylase family. This gene is orthologous to the Xenopus and mouse MITR genes. The MITR protein lacks the histone deacetylase catalytic domain. It represses MEF2 activity through recruitment of multicomponent corepressor complexes that include CtBP and HDACs. This encoded protein may play a role in hematopoiesis. Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been described for this gene but the full-length nature of some of them has not been determined.
