The HDAC2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2084) is a valuable tool for researchers studying HDAC2, a key enzyme involved in regulating gene expression through histone deacetylation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for human samples, making it suitable for Western blot applications.HDAC2, belonging to the histone deacetylase family, plays a vital role in epigenetic regulation by modifying chromatin structure and gene transcription. Dysregulation of HDAC2 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
By targeting HDAC2 with this antibody, researchers can investigate its function and potential as a therapeutic target in these disease settings. The ability to accurately detect and quantify HDAC2 levels in different cell types provides valuable insights into its biological functions and regulatory mechanisms. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in epigenetics, cancer biology, and drug discovery, facilitating a deeper understanding of HDAC2 in health and disease.

This gene product belongs to the histone deacetylase family. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes, and are responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues at the N-terminal regions of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). This protein forms transcriptional repressor complexes by associating with many different proteins, including YY1, a mammalian zinc-finger transcription factor. Thus, it plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
