The GPD2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6611) is a vital tool for researchers studying GPD2, a key enzyme involved in glycerol metabolism and lipid biosynthesis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it versatile for a wide range of research applications.GPD2, also known as glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase 2, plays a crucial role in cellular energy production and lipid metabolism. Dysregulation of GPD2 has been linked to metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes, and fatty liver disease. By targeting GPD2 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the enzyme's function and regulation, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions in metabolic diseases.
The GPD2 Polyclonal Antibody is validated for use in techniques such as Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, allowing for comprehensive analysis of GPD2 expression and localization in various cell types and tissues. With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is a valuable asset for studies in biochemistry, molecular biology, and metabolic research.
Product Name:
GPD2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB6611
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 25-325 of human GPD2 (NP_000399.3).
The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane and catalyzes the conversion of glycerol-3-phosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate, using FAD as a cofactor. Along with GDP1, the encoded protein constitutes the glycerol phosphate shuttle, which reoxidizes NADH formed during glycolysis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
2820
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using GPD2 antibody (CAB6611) at 1:1000 dilution.Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (CABS014) at 1:10000 dilution.Lysates/proteins: 25μg per lane.Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.Detection: ECL Basic Kit (AbGn00020).Exposure time: 10s.
