Description
GM CSF Monoclonal Antibody [NYRhGMCSF] (CPAB0034)
The GM-CSF Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0034) is a powerful tool for researchers studying Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF), a cytokine that plays a key role in immune system regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to GM-CSF, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in a range of cell types, making it well-suited for investigations in immunology and cancer research.GM-CSF is a crucial factor in the differentiation and function of various immune cells, including granulocytes and macrophages.
Its involvement in promoting immune responses and inflammation underscores its importance in diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. Research into the function of GM-CSF is essential for developing targeted therapies that modulate immune responses in these pathological contexts, highlighting the value of this antibody for advancing our understanding of immune system regulation.

Background: | GMCSF is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. GM-CSF stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils and erythrocytes. |
