The GLRX3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13580) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the glutaredoxin-3 (GLRX3) protein, which plays a crucial role in cellular redox regulation. Raised in rabbits, this antibody exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is ideal for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the GLRX3 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its presence in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in oxidative stress, antioxidant defense mechanisms, and redox signaling pathways.
GLRX3 is an important player in maintaining cellular homeostasis by participating in the regulation of protein function through thiol-disulfide exchange reactions. Dysregulation of GLRX3 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. As such, studying the activity of GLRX3 with the help of this antibody is essential for gaining insights into the pathophysiology of these conditions and for developing targeted therapies aimed at restoring redox balance in diseased states.

This gene encodes a member of the glutaredoxin family. Glutaredoxins are oxidoreductase enzymes that reduce a variety of substrates using glutathione as a cofactor. The encoded protein binds to and modulates the function of protein kinase C theta. The encoded protein may also inhibit apoptosis and play a role in cellular growth, and the expression of this gene may be a marker for cancer. Pseudogenes of this gene are located on the short arm of chromosomes 6 and 9. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene.
