The GIPR Polyclonal Antibody (CAB9816) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR) pathway. This antibody, developed in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting. The GIPR protein plays a crucial role in glucose metabolism and is a potential target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity. By binding specifically to GIPR, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of GIPR expression in different cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in metabolism, endocrinology, and related fields.
Understanding the function and regulation of the GIPR pathway is essential for developing novel treatments and interventions for metabolic diseases. The GIPR Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool to investigate the role of GIPR in health and disease, helping to advance our understanding of metabolic disorders and potentially leading to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
Product Name:
GIPR Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB9816
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 22-138 of human GIPR (NP_000155.1).
This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor for gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP), which was originally identified as an activity in gut extracts that inhibited gastric acid secretion and gastrin release, but subsequently was demonstrated to stimulate insulin release in the presence of elevated glucose. Mice lacking this gene exhibit higher blood glucose levels with impaired initial insulin response after oral glucose load. Defect in this gene thus may contribute to the pathogenesis of diabetes.
