The GenieFluor Violet 450 Anti-Mouse Ly-6G/Ly-6C (GR-1) Antibody (RB6-8C5) - AGEL2987 is a highly specific antibody designed for research in mouse models targeting the Ly-6G/Ly-6C (GR-1) antigen. This antibody, produced for laboratory use, has been optimized for applications such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence, enabling precise detection and analysis of Ly-6G/Ly-6C-expressing cells in various research settings.Ly-6G and Ly-6C antigens are commonly used as markers for identifying and characterizing subpopulations of immune cells in mice, particularly neutrophils and monocytes. By targeting these specific antigens with the RB6-8C5 antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of these cells in processes such as inflammation, immune response, and infection.
The GenieFluor Violet 450 Anti-Mouse Ly-6G/Ly-6C (GR-1) Antibody (RB6-8C5) - AGEL2987 is a valuable tool for immunology research, offering high sensitivity and specificity in detecting Ly-6G/Ly-6C-expressing cells. Its application extends to studies on inflammation, infection, and immune cell dynamics in mouse models, providing researchers with a powerful reagent for investigating immune responses and disease pathologies.

Background:
Gr-1 is a 21-25 kD protein also known as Ly-6G/Ly-6C. This myeloid differentiation antigen is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked protein expressed on granulocytes and macrophages. In bone marrow, the expression levels of Gr-1 directly correlate with granulocyte differentiation and maturation; Gr-1 is also transiently expressed on bone marrow cells in the monocyte lineage. Immature Myeloid Gr-1+ cells play a role in the development of antitumor immunity.
