The GenieFluor Violet 450 Anti-Human CD22 Antibody (BU59) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying CD22, a transmembrane protein typically found on B cells. This antibody, optimized for use in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy, offers exceptional specificity and sensitivity in detecting human CD22 expression.CD22 plays a vital role in B cell signaling and function, including B cell activation and survival. Its aberrant expression or function is associated with various B cell-related disorders, making it a key target for investigations in immunology and hematological malignancies. The BU59 antibody's high affinity for CD22 ensures precise and reliable detection, facilitating detailed analysis of CD22 expression patterns in different cell populations.
By utilizing the GenieFluor Violet 450 Anti-Human CD22 Antibody (BU59), researchers can delve deeper into the mechanisms underlying B cell biology, immune responses, and B cell-related pathologies. This versatile tool provides valuable insights into CD22 dynamics and interactions, enhancing our understanding of B cell immunity and offering new avenues for therapeutic development and disease management in conditions involving B cell dysregulation.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background Information:
CD22 is a 130 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as Siglec-2 and BL-CAM. It is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (sialoadhesion subgroup). CD22 is expressed in the cytoplasm of pro-B and pre-B cells, and on the surface of mature B and activated B cells, but not on plasma cells. CD22 is present in the B cell receptor complex and associates with SHP-1, Syk, Lck, Lyn, and phospholipase Cγ1. A primary function of CD22 is thought to be in limiting antigen receptor signaling by modulating B cell activation threshold. CD22 has been shown to bind to CD45RO and CD75, although the natural ligands for this molecule remain controversial.
