GenieFluor Red 780 Anti-Mouse CD279/PD-1 Antibody [29F.1A12]
The GenieFluorâ„¢ Red 780 Anti-Mouse CD279 (PD-1) Antibody (29F.1A12) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying immune checkpoint regulation. This antibody is specifically designed to target the PD-1 protein, a key player in immune system modulation and a promising target for cancer immunotherapy.PD-1, also known as Programmed Cell Death Protein 1, is a receptor expressed on the surface of T cells that helps regulate immune responses. By binding to PD-1, this antibody facilitates the detection and analysis of PD-1 expression in mouse samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for a range of applications, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
Understanding the role of PD-1 in immune regulation is crucial for developing novel therapeutic strategies for cancer and other immune-related disorders. This antibody provides researchers with a powerful tool to advance their studies in immunology, oncology, and beyond. Explore new avenues of research and uncover the potential of targeting PD-1 in harnessing the immune system for improved clinical outcomes.

Background:
CD279, also known as programmed death-1 (PD-1), is a 50-55 kD glycoprotein belonging to the CD28 family of the Ig superfamily. PD-1 is expressed on activated splenic T and B cells and thymocytes. It is induced on activated myeloid cells as well. PD-1 is involved in lymphocyte clonal selection and peripheral tolerance through binding its ligands, B7-H1 (PD-L1) and B7-DC (PD-L2). It has been reported that PD-1 and PD-L1 interactions are critical to positive selection and play a role in shaping the T cell repertoire. PD-L1 negative costimulation is essential for prolonged survival of intratesticular islet allografts.
