The GenieFluor 647 Anti-Mouse CD335 Antibody (29A1.4) is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for research involving CD335, a cell surface receptor known as NKp46. This monoclonal antibody, raised in mice, exhibits exceptional reactivity with mouse samples and is validated for use in various immunofluorescence and flow cytometry applications. By targeting the CD335 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of NK cells expressing NKp46, facilitating in-depth studies in immunology and cancer research.CD335, also referred to as Natural Cytotoxicity Triggering Receptor 1 (NCR1), is a key player in the activation and regulation of natural killer (NK) cells, which are integral components of the innate immune system responsible for recognizing and eliminating virally infected cells and cancer cells.
Understanding the function and expression of CD335 is crucial for unraveling the mechanisms underlying NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity and immunosurveillance. Research focused on CD335 has implications for developing novel immunotherapies targeting NK cells for the treatment of infectious diseases and cancer.

Background:
CD335, also known as NKp46, is a single-pass type I membrane protein of 46 kD. It belongs to the natural cytotoxicity receptor (NCR) family and contains two Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domains. It's expression is restricted to NK cells and a subset of NKT cells; it's not expressed in CD1d-restricted NKT cells. CD335 is a receptor for viral hemagglutinins and heparan sulfate proteoglycans and is involved in NK cell activation.
