The GenieFluor 647 Anti-Mouse CD107a Antibody (1D4B) offered by AssayGenie is a potent tool for research involving CD107a, a marker protein used to detect degranulation in mouse cells. This high-quality antibody is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. With its strong reactivity towards mouse samples, researchers can rely on its accuracy and sensitivity for detecting CD107a expression levels and studying cell degranulation processes in various experimental settings.CD107a, also known as lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP-1), is an essential component of cytotoxic granules and is commonly used as a marker for cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells.
The degranulation process mediated by CD107a is crucial for the immune response against infected or malignant cells. By targeting CD107a with this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying immune surveillance and cytotoxicity, with potential implications for cancer immunotherapy and infectious disease research.Enhance your studies in immunology, oncology, and cellular biology with the GenieFluor 647 Anti-Mouse CD107a Antibody (1D4B) from AssayGenie. Trust in its performance and specificity to advance your research and uncover new discoveries in the field of cellular immunology.

Background:
The 1D4B antibody recognizes CD107a which is also known as, Lysosome-Associated Membrane Protein 1 (LAMP-1). CD107a is one of the two major glycoproteins in lysosome membranes that provide useful markers to distinguish lysosomes from other organelles. CD107a may play a role in the lysosomal degradation of certain molecules. Mouse CD107a is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It consists of a 40-kDa core protein which is heavily glycosylated to form heterogeneous mature glycoprotein of 110-140 kDa. It is principally expressed in epithelial cells and macrophages in a variety of organs. Following activation, CD107a is relocated to the surface of some lymphocytes, macrophages, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, platelets, and tumor cells. Cell-surface CD107a may participate in intercellular adhesion and adhesion to the extracellular matrix. Cell surface CD107a expression can serve as a useful marker for cytotoxic NK and CD8+ T cells, as well as, some malignant tumor cells.
