The GenieFluor 488 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) is a versatile tool for researchers studying CD14, a crucial cell surface marker involved in immune responses and inflammatory processes. This antibody, developed by Assay Genie, is specifically designed for use with human samples and is optimized for a variety of applications, including flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. CD14 is a key receptor associated with the detection of bacterial lipopolysaccharides and plays a central role in the innate immune response. By targeting CD14, researchers can gain insights into the activation of immune cells and the modulation of inflammatory pathways. The GenieFluor 488 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) provides sensitive and specific detection of CD14, making it an essential tool for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and inflammatory disorders.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody enables accurate analysis of CD14 expression in various cell types and tissues, allowing for detailed investigation of immune system function and regulation. Whether investigating immune cell activation, inflammatory signaling pathways, or host-pathogen interactions, the GenieFluor 488 Anti-Human CD14 Antibody (M5E2) offers reliable performance and precise results for your research needs.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD14 is a 53-55 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein also known as LPS receptor. CD14 is expressed at high levels on monocytes and macrophages, and at lower levels on granulocytes. Some dendritic cell populations such as interfollicular dendritic cells, reticular dendritic cells, and Langerhans cells have also been reported to express CD14. As a high-affinity receptor for LPS, CD14 is involved in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens, and in the upregulation of adhesion molecules and expression of cytokines in monocytes and neutrophils.
