Description
FLAG Monoclonal Antibody [NYRFLAG] (CPAB0465)
The FLAG Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0465) is a powerful tool for researchers studying FLAG-tagged proteins in a variety of biological processes. FLAG tags are commonly used in protein research for the easy detection and purification of recombinant proteins, making this antibody an essential component in protein analysis. This polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbits and is highly specific to FLAG-tagged proteins, allowing for precise detection and visualization without cross-reactivity with other proteins. It is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence, providing reliable and accurate results for your experiments.
The FLAG Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0465) is a valuable tool for researchers in molecular biology, biotechnology, and biochemistry who are working with FLAG-tagged proteins in cell signaling, protein-protein interactions, and gene expression studies. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an indispensable reagent for investigating the function and localization of FLAG-tagged proteins in both basic research and drug development.

Background: | A fusion tag called FLAG consists of eight amino acids (AspTyrLysAspAspAspAspLys) including an enterokinase-cleavage site. FLAG is specifically designed for immunoaffinity chromatography. It allows elution under non-denaturing conditions. Several antibodies against this peptide have been developed. One antibody. denoted as M1. binds the peptide in the presence of bivalent metal cations. preferably Ca(+). Elution is effected by chelating agents. Another strategy is competitive elution with excess of free Flag Peptide. The FLAG peptide purifies and detects recombinant fusion proteins. FLAG peptide is useful in Western blotting, immunocytochemistry, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, protein purification, and in the study of protein-protein interactions, cell ultrastructure, and protein localization. Flag peptide is a hydrophilic tag which significantly improves the detection and purification of recombinant fusion proteins. |
