The FKBP12 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a vital tool for researchers studying FKBP12, a protein involved in immune regulation and cellular signaling pathways. This antibody, produced using rabbit monoclonal technology, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards FKBP12 in human samples, making it ideal for Western blot applications. By binding to FKBP12, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, offering insights into its role in immunology and cancer research.
FKBP12, a key regulator of protein folding and stability, plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses and cell signaling processes. Its involvement in various disease states, including cancer and autoimmune disorders, highlights the importance of studying its function for developing targeted therapeutic interventions. By investigating the mechanisms by which FKBP12 influences immune and cellular functions, researchers can uncover potential pathways for novel treatment strategies in disease settings.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 29-108 of human FKBP12 (P62942).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. The protein is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. It interacts with several intracellular signal transduction proteins including type I TGF-beta receptor. It also interacts with multiple intracellular calcium release channels, and coordinates multi-protein complex formation of the tetrameric skeletal muscle ryanodine receptor. In mouse, deletion of this homologous gene causes congenital heart disorder known as noncompaction of left ventricular myocardium. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. The human genome contains five pseudogenes related to this gene, at least one of which is transcribed.
