The FITC Anti-Mouse CD90 Antibody (M5/49.4.1) is a powerful tool for researchers studying mouse immune cells and cell surface markers. This antibody, available from Assaygenie, specifically targets CD90, also known as Thy1, a well-known marker for various cell types including T cells, stem cells, and fibroblasts. With the ability to detect and analyze CD90 expression in mouse samples, this antibody is essential for a wide range of immunology and stem cell research applications. The green fluorescent FITC label facilitates visualization and quantification of CD90-positive cells in flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and microscopy experiments.
CD90 plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling pathways, making it a key target for studying immune responses, tissue regeneration, and cancer development in mouse models. By using the FITC Anti-Mouse CD90 Antibody (M5/49.4.1), researchers can gain deeper insights into the function and behavior of CD90-positive cells, paving the way for advances in biomedical research and therapeutic interventions.

Background:
The M5/49.4.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Thy1 also known as CD90. Thy1 is a 25-35 kDa GPI-anchored protein belonging to the Ig superfamily that is expressed by thymocytes, peripheral T cells, myoblasts, epidermal cells, and keratinocytes. The function of Thy1 has not been fully elucidated but is thought to play roles in regulation of cell adhesion, apoptosis, metastasis, inflammation, and fibrosis. This antibody is particularly useful for depletion of T lymphocytes.
