The FITC Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) from Assay Genie is a vital tool for researchers studying cell adhesion molecules and immune responses in mouse models. This antibody, conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), specifically targets CD106, also known as vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), a key player in immune cell recruitment and adhesion to vascular endothelium.Developed for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assays, the FITC Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) allows for precise detection and visualization of CD106 expression on endothelial cells and activated immune cells in mouse tissues. Its high specificity and sensitivity ensure accurate results and reliable data interpretation, making it an indispensable tool for investigations into inflammatory processes, atherosclerosis, and immune-mediated pathologies in mouse models.
By facilitating the identification and characterization of CD106 expression patterns in various biological contexts, this antibody enables researchers to gain deeper insights into the role of CD106 in immune cell trafficking and inflammatory responses. With its superior performance and versatility, the FITC Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) is a valuable asset for advancing research in immunology, vascular biology, and related fields.

Background:
CD106 is a 110 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked transmembrane protein, also known as VCAM-1 and INCAM-110. It is constitutively expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, myeloid progenitors, splenic dendritic cells, activated endothelial cells, as well as some lymphocytes. CD106 expression can be upregulated on endothelial cells by inflammatory cytokines. CD106 is involved in adhesion and acts as a counter-receptor for VLA-4 (α4/β1 integrin) and LPAM-1 (α4/β7 integrin).
