The FITC Anti-Human CD11a Antibody (R7.1) offered by Assay Genie is a vital tool for researchers studying immune responses and cell interactions. This antibody specifically targets the CD11a protein, which is a key component of the Lymphocyte Function-Associated Antigen-1 (LFA-1) complex essential for T cell activation and adhesion processes.Developed for use in flow cytometry applications, this antibody is conjugated with FITC, allowing for easy and sensitive detection of CD11a on human cells. Its high specificity and reactivity make it an excellent choice for analyzing T cell populations, immune cell activation, and inflammation processes.
With its validated performance in flow cytometry studies, the FITC Anti-Human CD11a Antibody (R7.1) is an indispensable tool for immunologists, cell biologists, and researchers investigating immune system function, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory responses. Unlock the potential of your research by utilizing this high-quality antibody from Assay Genie.

Background:
CD11a is a 170-180 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as LFA-1α chain and integrin αL subunit. CD11a non-covalently associates with integrin β2 (CD18) to form LFA-1. It is expressed on all leukocytes, including B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, basophils and eosinophils. It is absent on non-hematopoietic tissues and platelets. CD11a plays a central role in leukocyte cell-cell interactions and is important in lymphocyte costimulation. CD11a/CD18 binds to ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50).
