The FGF12 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2667) is a vital tool for researchers studying the function of Fibroblast Growth Factor 12 (FGF12), a member of the FGF family known for its role in cell proliferation and differentiation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications.By specifically binding to FGF12 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it well-suited for investigations in developmental biology and cancer research.
FGF12 is involved in diverse cellular processes, including neuronal excitability and cardiac function, making it a key target for understanding disease mechanisms and identifying potential therapeutic targets. The FGF12 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers looking to unravel the complex functions of FGF12 and its potential implications in various disease contexts. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a valuable asset for studies aimed at elucidating the role of FGF12 in health and disease.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-181 of human FGF12 (NP_004104.3).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. This growth factor lacks the N-terminal signal sequence present in most of the FGF family members, but it contains clusters of basic residues that have been demonstrated to act as a nuclear localization signal. When transfected into mammalian cells, this protein accumulated in the nucleus, but was not secreted. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined.
