The Ficolin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6587) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the ficolin-1 protein, which is involved in the innate immune system. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to ficolin-1, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types.Ficolin-1 is a key player in innate immunity, functioning as a pattern recognition receptor that can identify and bind to pathogens, activating the immune response. Research into ficolin-1 is crucial for understanding how the innate immune system functions and responds to threats.
This antibody is ideal for investigations into infectious diseases, inflammation, and autoimmune disorders, providing valuable insights into the role of ficolin-1 in immune defense mechanisms.Overall, the Ficolin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6587) is a reliable tool for researchers exploring the functions and significance of the ficolin-1 protein in the immune response. Its specificity and reactivity make it a valuable asset in studies related to infectious diseases, inflammation, and immune system regulation.

The ficolin family of proteins are characterized by the presence of a leader peptide, a short N-terminal segment, followed by a collagen-like region, and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. The collagen-like and the fibrinogen-like domains are also found separately in other proteins such as complement protein C1q, C-type lectins known as collectins, and tenascins. However, all these proteins recognize different targets, and are functionally distinct. Ficolin 1 encoded by FCN1 is predominantly expressed in the peripheral blood leukocytes, and has been postulated to function as a plasma protein with elastin-binding activity.
