The FBXW8 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB18122) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FBXW8, a key component of the ubiquitin-proteasome system involved in regulating protein degradation. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting FBXW8 in human samples, making it an essential reagent for Western blot applications.FBXW8 is known to play a crucial role in cell cycle progression, signal transduction, and cellular homeostasis by targeting specific proteins for degradation via ubiquitination. Dysregulation of FBXW8 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes.
Therefore, studying the expression and function of FBXW8 using this antibody can provide valuable insights into disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. With its ability to detect FBXW8 in a wide range of cell types and tissues, the CAB18122 antibody is a versatile tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, and cancer research. By facilitating the analysis of FBXW8 protein levels and localization, this antibody contributes to advancing our understanding of cellular processes and disease pathogenesis.

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family, members of which are characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into three classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene contains a WD-40 domain, in addition to an F-box motif, so it belongs to the Fbw class. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
