The FBXO7 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7464) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FBXO7, a protein involved in the regulation of cellular processes such as protein degradation and cell cycle control. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to FBXO7, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of the protein in various cell types, making it particularly useful for investigations in molecular biology and neurodegenerative diseases.FBXO7 is a key player in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, which is responsible for targeting proteins for degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis.
Dysregulation of FBXO7 has been implicated in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease, highlighting its importance in understanding the mechanisms underlying these conditions. Research on FBXO7 using this antibody can provide insights into the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases and potentially lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting FBXO7.

This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Fbxs class and it may play a role in regulation of hematopoiesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been identified with the full-length natures of only some variants being determined.
