The FBXL20 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC058296) is a valuable tool for research involving FBXL20, a key component of the ubiquitin-proteasome system that regulates protein turnover and degradation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the FBXL20 protein, this antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze FBXL20 expression in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.FBXL20 plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by targeting specific proteins for degradation, thereby controlling various cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation and DNA repair.
Its involvement in protein turnover makes FBXL20 a potentially important target for investigating diseases like cancer, where dysregulation of protein degradation pathways can lead to uncontrolled cell growth and proliferation. Understanding the function of FBXL20 is essential for developing targeted therapies that can manipulate protein turnover pathways for therapeutic benefit.

IHC image of PACO58296 diluted at 1:800 and staining in paraffin-embedded human endometrial cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

NCBI Summary:
Members of the F-box protein family, such as FBXL20, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1 (MIM 601434), cullin (see CUL1; MIM 603134), and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. F-box proteins interact with SKP1 through the F box, and they interact with ubiquitination targets through other protein interaction domains (Jin et al., 2004 [PubMed 15520277]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
