The FBLN1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16046) is a crucial tool for researchers studying fibulin-1, a key extracellular matrix protein involved in various biological processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the FBLN1 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in different cell types, making it an essential reagent for studies in cell biology, tissue development, and disease mechanisms.Fibulin-1 is known for its roles in cell adhesion, migration, and tissue organization, making it a significant player in processes like wound healing, angiogenesis, and cancer progression.
Its interaction with various proteins within the extracellular matrix also suggests its involvement in modulating cell signaling pathways and influencing cell behavior. Therefore, investigating the function of fibulin-1 using the FBLN1 Polyclonal Antibody is vital for understanding its impact on physiological and pathological conditions, such as fibrosis, cardiovascular diseases, and tumorigenesis. This antibody serves as a valuable tool for deciphering the complex roles of fibulin-1 in health and disease, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions targeting this important protein.

Fibulin 1 is a secreted glycoprotein that becomes incorporated into a fibrillar extracellular matrix. Calcium-binding is apparently required to mediate its binding to laminin and nidogen. It mediates platelet adhesion via binding fibrinogen. Four splice variants which differ in the 3' end have been identified. Each variant encodes a different isoform, but no functional distinctions have been identified among the four variants.
