The FBL Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13490) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FBL, a protein involved in regulating cell growth and proliferation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It specifically binds to the FBL protein, allowing for its detection and analysis in various cell types.FBL, also known as Fibrillarin, plays a crucial role in rRNA processing and ribosome biogenesis. Dysregulation of FBL has been linked to diseases such as cancer and developmental disorders.
Understanding the function and regulation of FBL is vital for uncovering its role in these diseases and identifying potential therapeutic targets.Researchers in the fields of molecular biology, cancer biology, and developmental biology will find the FBL Polyclonal Antibody to be a valuable tool for their studies. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for investigating the function of FBL in various biological processes.

This gene product is a component of a nucleolar small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle thought to participate in the first step in processing preribosomal RNA. It is associated with the U3, U8, and U13 small nuclear RNAs and is located in the dense fibrillar component (DFC) of the nucleolus. The encoded protein contains an N-terminal repetitive domain that is rich in glycine and arginine residues, like fibrillarins in other species. Its central region resembles an RNA-binding domain and contains an RNP consensus sequence. Antisera from approximately 8% of humans with the autoimmune disease scleroderma recognize fibrillarin.
