The Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) Polyclonal Antibody (CAB21398) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FASN, an enzyme involved in fatty acid biosynthesis and implicated in cancer progression and metabolism. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human FASN and is validated for use in Western blot applications.FASN plays a crucial role in cellular energy storage and metabolism, making it a key target for cancer research and drug development. Aberrant FASN expression has been linked to various cancers, making it a promising candidate for targeted therapies.
The FASN Polyclonal Antibody enables researchers to detect and analyze FASN expression in a variety of cell types, providing valuable insight into its function and potential as a therapeutic target.By studying FASN with this antibody, researchers can deepen their understanding of lipid metabolism, cancer biology, and metabolic diseases. This antibody is a valuable tool for investigating the intricate role of FASN in disease development and progression, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies.
Product Name:
Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB21398
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 2221-2511 of human Fatty Acid Synthase (FASN) (NP_004095.4).
The enzyme encoded by this gene is a multifunctional protein. Its main function is to catalyze the synthesis of palmitate from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA, in the presence of NADPH, into long-chain saturated fatty acids. In some cancer cell lines, this protein has been found to be fused with estrogen receptor-alpha (ER-alpha), in which the N-terminus of FAS is fused in-frame with the C-terminus of ER-alpha.
