The FADD Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16459) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FADD, a key protein involved in apoptosis and immune signaling pathways. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific for human samples and is validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. By targeting the FADD protein, researchers can gain insights into its function and role in various cellular processes.FADD, also known as Fas-associated death domain protein, is a critical mediator of cell death and immune regulation. By binding to the FADD protein, this antibody enables researchers to investigate its involvement in apoptosis, inflammation, and immune response modulation.
Understanding the mechanisms by which FADD operates is essential for unraveling its implications in diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.Overall, the FADD Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16459) serves as a reliable tool for dissecting the functions and interactions of FADD in different biological contexts. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it suitable for a wide range of research applications, making it an indispensable asset for immunology and cancer research studies.

The protein encoded by this gene is an adaptor molecule that interacts with various cell surface receptors and mediates cell apoptotic signals. Through its C-terminal death domain, this protein can be recruited by TNFRSF6/Fas-receptor, tumor necrosis factor receptor, TNFRSF25, and TNFSF10/TRAIL-receptor, and thus it participates in the death signaling initiated by these receptors. Interaction of this protein with the receptors unmasks the N-terminal effector domain of this protein, which allows it to recruit caspase-8, and thereby activate the cysteine protease cascade. Knockout studies in mice also suggest the importance of this protein in early T cell development.
