Description
FABP9 Monoclonal Antibody [PAT13F9AT] (CPAB0606)
The FABP9 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0606) is a valuable tool for researchers studying FABP9, a member of the fatty acid-binding protein family involved in lipid metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the FABP9 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an ideal choice for investigations in metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer research.FABP9, also known as brain-type fatty acid-binding protein, plays a crucial role in intracellular fatty acid transport and lipid metabolism.
Its involvement in processes related to energy homeostasis and lipid signaling pathways positions it as a potential target for therapeutic interventions aiming to regulate metabolic disorders and prevent associated complications. Understanding the functions and mechanisms of FABP9 is essential for advancing research in areas like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, ultimately leading to new insights and potential treatment strategies.

Background: | Fatty acid binding protein 9 (FABP9) belongs to the fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) which are a family of small, extremely conserved, cytoplasmic proteins to bind long-chain fatty acids and other hydrophobic ligands. FABP9 is found in midpachytene spermatocytes and round spermatids, and comprises part of the perinuclear theca. FABP9 probably links intracellular membranes and signals abnormal sperm formation during spermatogenesis. |
