The F11R Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1241) is specifically designed for research involving F11R, a cell adhesion molecule that plays a critical role in various physiological and pathological processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot and immunofluorescence applications. By binding to the F11R protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of F11R in different cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in cell biology and disease research.F11R, also known as junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A), is involved in cell adhesion and tight junction formation in epithelial and endothelial cells.
Its role in regulating cell-cell interactions makes it a key player in processes like inflammation, immune response, and tumor metastasis. Understanding the function and regulation of F11R is crucial for unraveling its implications in various diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions. The F11R Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool to delve deeper into the mechanisms involving F11R and its potential as a therapeutic target.

Tight junctions represent one mode of cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, forming continuous seals around cells and serving as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space. The protein encoded by this immunoglobulin superfamily gene member is an important regulator of tight junction assembly in epithelia. In addition, the encoded protein can act as (1) a receptor for reovirus, (2) a ligand for the integrin LFA1, involved in leukocyte transmigration, and (3) a platelet receptor. Multiple 5' alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified but their biological validity has not been established.
