The EXOC1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB8749) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the EXOC1 protein, which plays a key role in exocytosis and intracellular trafficking processes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.EXOC1 is a crucial component of the exocyst complex, which is involved in the targeting and tethering of transport vesicles to specific sites on the plasma membrane. Dysregulation of exocytosis and intracellular trafficking processes can lead to various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders.
Understanding the function of EXOC1 can provide insights into these disease mechanisms and potentially identify therapeutic targets.By targeting the EXOC1 protein, researchers can investigate its role in various cellular processes and pathways, advancing our understanding of exocytosis and intracellular trafficking. The EXOC1 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for studies in cell biology, neuroscience, and cancer research, offering reliable and specific detection of EXOC1 in a variety of experimental settings.

The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the exocyst complex, a multiple protein complex essential for targeting exocytic vesicles to specific docking sites on the plasma membrane. Though best characterized in yeast, the component proteins and functions of the exocyst complex have been demonstrated to be highly conserved in higher eukaryotes. At least eight components of the exocyst complex, including this protein, are found to interact with the actin cytoskeletal remodeling and vesicle transport machinery. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
