The ERBB4 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19047) is a crucial tool for researchers studying the ERBB4 protein, a receptor tyrosine kinase linked to various signaling pathways and implicated in multiple cellular functions. This antibody, developed in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to ERBB4, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the protein in different cell types, making it a valuable asset for studies in cancer biology and signaling cascades.ERBB4, also known as HER4, is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family and is associated with cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival.
Dysregulation of ERBB4 signaling has been linked to various cancers and developmental disorders, highlighting the importance of understanding its function in normal and diseased states. The ERBB4 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody provides researchers with a reliable tool for investigating the role of ERBB4 in cellular processes and disease pathways, ultimately paving the way for the development of targeted therapies and treatments.

This gene is a member of the Tyr protein kinase family and the epidermal growth factor receptor subfamily. It encodes a single-pass type I membrane protein with multiple cysteine rich domains, a transmembrane domain, a tyrosine kinase domain, a phosphotidylinositol-3 kinase binding site and a PDZ domain binding motif. The protein binds to and is activated by neuregulins and other factors and induces a variety of cellular responses including mitogenesis and differentiation. Multiple proteolytic events allow for the release of a cytoplasmic fragment and an extracellular fragment. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cancer. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, not all variants have been fully characterized.
