Description
Eotaxin 1 Monoclonal Antibody [YNRhEOT1] (CPAB0005)
The Eotaxin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0005) is a vital tool for researchers studying the role of Eotaxin-1 in immune responses and inflammation. Eotaxin-1 is a chemokine that plays a key role in recruiting eosinophils to sites of inflammation, making it a crucial mediator in asthma, allergic reactions, and other inflammatory conditions.Produced in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific for human Eotaxin-1 and has been rigorously validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the Eotaxin-1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an invaluable resource for studies in immunology, allergy research, and inflammatory disease.
Understanding the function of Eotaxin-1 is essential for developing targeted therapies for conditions driven by eosinophilic inflammation. By investigating the mechanisms by which Eotaxin-1 regulates immune responses, researchers can uncover new insights into disease pathogenesis and identify potential therapeutic targets for conditions such as asthma and allergic reactions.

Background: | Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 11 (CCL11) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family that is also known as eotaxin. CCL11 selectively recruits eosinophilsby inducing their chemotaxis, and therefore, is implicated in allergic responses. The effects of CCL11 are mediated by its binding to a G-protein-linked receptor known as a chemokine receptor. Chemokine receptors for which CCL11 is a ligandinclude CCR2, CCR3and CCR5. The gene for human CCL11 (scya11) is encoded on three exons and is located on chromosome 17. |
Synonyms: | Small inducible cytokine A11, CCL11, Eosinophil chemotactic protein, chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 11, SCYA11, MGC22554. |
Storage Buffer: | In lyophilized form, for long periods, store at 4°C in a dry environment. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20°C. |
