The ENO1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16841) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the enolase 1 (ENO1) protein, which is involved in glycolysis and has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blotting applications.ENO1 is a multifunctional protein that plays a crucial role in energy production and metabolism. Its dysregulation has been linked to tumorigenesis, making it a promising target for cancer research.
By specifically binding to ENO1, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of the protein in different cell types, facilitating studies in oncology and metabolic diseases.Understanding the function and regulation of ENO1 is essential for developing targeted therapies and diagnostic tools for cancer and other metabolic disorders. With its high specificity and sensitivity, the ENO1 Polyclonal Antibody is an invaluable resource for investigating the roles of ENO1 in health and disease.

This gene encodes alpha-enolase, one of three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. Each isoenzyme is a homodimer composed of 2 alpha, 2 gamma, or 2 beta subunits, and functions as a glycolytic enzyme. Alpha-enolase in addition, functions as a structural lens protein (tau-crystallin) in the monomeric form. Alternative splicing of this gene results in a shorter isoform that has been shown to bind to the c-myc promoter and function as a tumor suppressor. Several pseudogenes have been identified, including one on the long arm of chromosome 1. Alpha-enolase has also been identified as an autoantigen in Hashimoto encephalopathy.
