The ELAC2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7128) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ELAC2, a key protein involved in RNA processing and mitochondrial function. This antibody, developed in rabbits, shows high specificity towards human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the ELAC2 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology and mitochondrial research.ELAC2, also known as Endoribonuclease ZC3H12A, plays a crucial role in maintaining RNA integrity, ensuring proper mitochondrial function, and regulating gene expression.
Its involvement in these essential cellular processes makes it a promising target for investigating diseases related to RNA metabolism and mitochondrial dysfunction. By understanding the function of ELAC2, researchers can uncover potential therapeutic approaches for conditions such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic diseases.Overall, the ELAC2 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable resource for researchers interested in exploring the role of ELAC2 in cellular physiology and disease pathology. Its high reactivity and specificity make it a reliable tool for advancing our understanding of RNA processing and mitochondrial biology.
Product Name:
ELAC2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB7128
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-270 of human ELAC2 (NP_776065.1).
The protein encoded by this gene has a C-terminal domain with tRNA 3′ processing endoribonuclease activity, which catalyzes the removal of the 3' trailer from precursor tRNAs. The protein also interacts with activated Smad family member 2 (Smad2) and its nuclear partner forkhead box H1 (also known as FAST-1), and reduced expression can suppress transforming growth factor-beta induced growth arrest. Mutations in this gene result in an increased risk of prostate cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
