Description
EIF2S1 Monoclonal Antibody [PEIF2S1AT] (CPAB0447)
The EIF2S1 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0447) is a vital tool for researchers studying EIF2S1, a key protein involved in the regulation of protein synthesis and cell growth. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has been rigorously tested and validated for Western blot applications with human samples. By specifically binding to EIF2S1, researchers can accurately detect and analyze this protein in a variety of cell types.EIF2S1, also known as eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit 1, is essential for the initiation of protein synthesis in cells.
Dysregulation of EIF2S1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and viral infections. By studying EIF2S1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.Overall, the EIF2S1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers interested in exploring the role of EIF2S1 in cellular processes and disease development. Its high specificity and reactivity make it an ideal choice for studies in cell biology, oncology, and virology.

Background: | EIF2S1 participates in the premature steps of protein synthesis by forming a ternary complex with GTP and initiator tRNA which binds to a 40S ribosomal subunit, followed by mRNA binding to create a 43S pre-initiation complex. Junction of the 60S ribosomal subunit to form the 80S initiation complex is preceded by hydrolysis of the GTP bound to eIF-2 and release of an eIF-2-GDP binary complex. In order for eIF-2 to recycle and catalyze another round of initiation, the GDP bound to eIF-2 should exchange with GTP by way of a reaction catalyzed by eIF-2B. |
