The EEF1E1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15357) is a valuable tool for researchers studying EEF1E1, a protein involved in translation elongation and protein synthesis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, specifically targets the EEF1E1 protein and is highly reactive with human samples. Its validation for use in Western blot applications allows for accurate detection and analysis of EEF1E1 in various cell types, making it an essential component for studies in molecular biology and protein synthesis.EEF1E1, also known as eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 epsilon 1, plays a crucial role in the elongation phase of protein synthesis by delivering aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome.
Understanding the function and regulation of EEF1E1 is vital for unraveling the complexities of translation and its dysregulation in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Researchers can use this antibody to investigate the expression levels and localization of EEF1E1 in different cellular contexts, providing valuable insights into its roles in health and disease.
Product Name:
EEF1E1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB15357
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human EEF1E1 (NP_004271.1).
This gene encodes a multifunctional protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus. In the cytoplasm, the encoded protein is an auxiliary component of the macromolecular aminoacyl-tRNA synthase complex. However, its mouse homolog has been shown to translocate to the nucleus in response to DNA damage, and it plays a positive role in ATM/ATR-mediated p53 activation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Read-through transcription also exists between this gene and the neighboring downstream MUTED (muted homolog) gene. An EEF1E1-related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 2.
