The EED Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5371) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the protein EED, a key component of the polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2) involved in gene regulation and chromatin remodeling. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.By binding specifically to the EED protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for studies in molecular biology and epigenetics. Understanding the role of EED in gene expression and chromatin structure is crucial for unraveling the mechanisms underlying various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders.
Investigating the function of EED with this polyclonal antibody can provide insights into epigenetic regulation and potentially lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting gene expression pathways. Its versatility and reliability make it a valuable asset for researchers seeking to advance our understanding of gene regulation mechanisms.

This gene encodes a member of the Polycomb-group (PcG) family. PcG family members form multimeric protein complexes, which are involved in maintaining the transcriptional repressive state of genes over successive cell generations. This protein interacts with enhancer of zeste 2, the cytoplasmic tail of integrin beta7, immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) MA protein, and histone deacetylase proteins. This protein mediates repression of gene activity through histone deacetylation, and may act as a specific regulator of integrin function. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
