The E2F1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19579) is a vital tool for researchers studying E2F1, a transcription factor involved in cell cycle regulation and DNA synthesis. This antibody, produced using advanced rabbit monoclonal technology, has high specificity and sensitivity for detecting E2F1 in human samples. Validated for use in Western blot applications, this antibody binds specifically to the E2F1 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types.E2F1 is a key player in the control of cell proliferation and apoptosis, making it a crucial target for studying diseases like cancer, where dysregulation of cell cycle processes can lead to uncontrolled cell growth.
By understanding the role of E2F1 in these processes, researchers can gain valuable insights into potential therapeutic targets for cancer treatment and other related diseases.Overall, the E2F1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19579) is a valuable tool for researchers interested in unraveling the complex mechanisms of cell cycle regulation and DNA synthesis, with implications for cancer research and therapeutic development.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the E2F family of transcription factors. The E2F family plays a crucial role in the control of cell cycle and action of tumor suppressor proteins and is also a target of the transforming proteins of small DNA tumor viruses. The E2F proteins contain several evolutionally conserved domains found in most members of the family. These domains include a DNA binding domain, a dimerization domain which determines interaction with the differentiation regulated transcription factor proteins (DP), a transactivation domain enriched in acidic amino acids, and a tumor suppressor protein association domain which is embedded within the transactivation domain. This protein and another 2 members, E2F2 and E2F3, have an additional cyclin binding domain. This protein binds preferentially to retinoblastoma protein pRB in a cell-cycle dependent manner. It can mediate both cell proliferation and p53-dependent/independent apoptosis.
