The DUSP5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10212) is specifically designed for research involving dual-specificity phosphatase 5 (DUSP5), a protein involved in regulating cellular signaling pathways. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to the DUSP5 protein, allowing for precise detection and analysis in various cell types.DUSP5 is a key player in cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and response to stress signals. Its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
Studying the function and expression of DUSP5 is important for gaining insight into these pathological conditions and developing potential therapeutic interventions. The DUSP5 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of cell biology, oncology, and molecular biology. By enabling accurate detection and analysis of DUSP5 protein levels, this antibody facilitates in-depth investigations into the roles and mechanisms of DUSP5 in normal cellular function and disease progression.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which are associated with cellular proliferation and differentiation. Different members of the family of dual specificity phosphatases show distinct substrate specificities for various MAP kinases, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. This gene product inactivates ERK1, is expressed in a variety of tissues with the highest levels in pancreas and brain, and is localized in the nucleus.
