The DUSP4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2726) is specifically designed for researchers studying DUSP4, a dual-specificity phosphatase known for its role in regulating MAP kinase signaling pathways. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.DUSP4, also known as MAPK phosphatase 2 (MKP-2), plays a crucial role in fine-tuning MAP kinase signaling by dephosphorylating and inactivating MAP kinases. Dysregulation of DUSP4 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions.
By targeting DUSP4, researchers can gain valuable insights into the intricacies of MAP kinase signaling and its impact on cellular processes. This antibody enables the detection and analysis of DUSP4 protein levels in different cell types, facilitating studies in molecular biology, cell signaling, and disease mechanisms. Its application in immunology and cancer research makes it a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of disease pathogenesis and developing targeted therapies.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which are associated with cellular proliferation and differentiation. Different members of the family of dual specificity phosphatases show distinct substrate specificities for various MAP kinases, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. This gene product inactivates ERK1, ERK2 and JNK, is expressed in a variety of tissues, and is localized in the nucleus. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants, encoding distinct isoforms, have been observed for this gene. In addition, multiple polyadenylation sites have been reported.
