The DPP4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1455) is a valuable tool for researchers studying DPP4, a cell surface enzyme with roles in immune regulation and metabolic processes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the DPP4 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its presence in various cell types.DPP4, also known as CD26, is involved in a range of biological functions, including T cell activation, glucose metabolism, and inflammatory responses. Its dysregulation has been implicated in conditions like diabetes, obesity, and cancer, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By investigating the activity of DPP4, researchers can gain insights into its roles in disease pathogenesis and potentially develop novel treatment strategies.Overall, the DPP4 Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for researchers interested in exploring the functions and mechanisms of DPP4 in various physiological and pathological contexts. Its reliability and specificity make it a valuable asset for studies in immunology, metabolism, and cancer research.

The DPP4 gene encodes dipeptidyl peptidase 4, which is identical to adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2, and to the T-cell activation antigen CD26. It is an intrinsic type II transmembrane glycoprotein and a serine exopeptidase that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 is highly involved in glucose and insulin metabolism, as well as in immune regulation. This protein was shown to be a functional receptor for Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and protein modeling suggests that it may play a similar role with SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19.
